Auditions for the 2012 Arizona Renaissance Festival
When: Friday Sept 30 5-9:30
Sat Oct 1 9-1 by appointment
Set up an audition appointment by calling the office at (520) 463-2600 and speaking to Jessica
Where: Main Office – AZ Renaissance Festival
12601 East Highway 60
Apache Junction, AZ 85118
Format: 1. Be greeted by a host that will help them through the entire audition process.
2. Receive and fill out paperwork.
3. Draw 3 random characters out of a basket.
4. Choose one of those 3 characters. The one that best suits the performer, or is closest to their desired character.
5. Take a few minutes to figure out why that character would be at the castle to see the “King’s Board of Advisors”.
6. When ready, the auditionee will be announced.
7. Enter as the character they have drawn and address the board for up to 5 minutes.
8. Answer any questions that are asked in character, present the reason they are there to see the board.
9. Take their leave.
10. As soon as they are finished with their audition they are free to leave.
Event dates: Feb 11- April 1 2012 plus President’s Day
Sounds like it would be a fun experience to play a character at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. Wish I had found this post earlier.
